Multifunctional pilot unit for waste gases pollutants reduction

Unit specification
The unit is the adjustable and mobile device for carrying out short or long-term catalysts tests in the laboratory and operational environments.
It is a part of the pilot plant that provides the generation of flue gas, the enrichment of flue gas by various pollutants (e.g., CO, VOC, SO2, NOx, NH3), and the measurement of polluted gas composition. It is possible to adjust the required pollution level to simulate the composition of the exhaust gas intended for disposal.
The reactor itself consists of three blocks. When the in-built parts are attached, the reactor allows to test different types of monolithic and bulk catalysts. The catalytic bed pressure drop and potential fouling, the loss of activity due to fouling and catalyst poisons, temperature increase by oxidative reactions, etc. can be monitored.
Testing can be focused on new types of catalysts or widely used catalysts for given industrial conditions. Primarily, the unit is designed for testing of monolithic catalysts. Nevertheless, after the removal of sophisticated designed in-built parts, which are necessary for the usage of monoliths, it can be used for testing many kinds of bulk catalysts with the fixed catalyst bed.
