Focus

The laboratory equipment allows to determine basic physico-chemical properties of fuels and wastes and other substances used in the process industry which fundamentally affect design and operation of process and energy equipment.

Benefits of cooperation

It is possible to do analysis of the results obtained from the measurement due to a broad base of experts at the Institute of Process Engineering and extensive portfolio of available equipment for measuring properties of fuels and other materials. We are also able to propose the optimal solution for the problem or the technology, which will take into account the results of the analysis.

  • Determination of dynamic and kinematic viscosity at different temperatures (using a rotational viscometer)
  • Determination of elemental analysis (CHNS)
  • Complete analysis of fuel
  • Determination of dry matter and ash content
  • Determination of calorific value (by calorimeter or calculation according to fuel analysis)
  • Determination of thermal capacity
  • Analyses for fermentation and biogas stations (FOS, TAC, FOS/TAC, pH, NH4-N)
  • Analysis of the composition of biogas (gas chromatography with TCD detection)
  • Determination of the density by pycnometry or by density meter
  • Photometric determination (CHSKCr, proteins, etc.)
  • Sieve analysis
  • Determination of suspension filterability
  • Determination of wastewater (forms of nitrogen and phosphorus, undissolved and dissolved substances)
  • Consultation of measured results, recommendations and proposals of solutions
